Provincial Commissions on EVAW are mandated by the EVAW Law of 2009. As a part of this, all provinces in Afghanistan are expected to have a commission of elimination of violence against women (CoEVAW) that looks into coordinating, planning and measuring the implementation of the EVAW Law. 32 out of 34 provinces have set up these commissions so far and their terms of reference have also been developed.
